Hurricane Katrina
The Thirst No More team was joined by hundreds of volunteers and donors in our response to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. In all, TNM set up over 20 relief centers in local churches across the affected region, giving them over 2 million pounds of supplies to distribute to their communities. Thirst No More was one of the first organizations on the ground and continued it's work nearly a full year.
During disasters in America, TNM seeks to work with local churches who want to minister to the physical needs of their community. The church will be there long after every aid group has left. Our goal is to give them what they need in supplies and personnel for a full response to the needs of their towns and cities.
