About Thirst No More
 

Our Story: In 1995, Stephen and Vicki founded Thirst No More, an organization dedicated to the suffering of the world. They have led humanitarian efforts in Asia, Africa, Russia, and the Americas.  Currently, TNM is focused on water projects in Peru and Darfur, Sudan.  They also continue development in Southern Thailand where the Asian tsunami struck.  The organization has raised millions of dollars over the years, engaging thousands of people with those suffering throughout the world.

Our Purpose:Thirst No More exists to relieve human suffering through compassion projects.

Our Organizational Status:Thirst No More is a 501 ( c ) 3 organization. Your gifts are tax-deductible. The organization has been in existence since 1995.

Stephen C Miller is a graduate of Howard Payne University. He has worked in international settings for 21 years. In 1995, Stephen and Vicki Miller founded Thirst No More, an organization dedicated to the suffering of the world.  He also travels extensively throughout the United States to offer a message of renewal and hope. Thirst No More is currently working in Sudan, Thailand, India, Brazil, Belize, and Peru.

Stephen and Vicki have been married for 19 years. They have three children, Andrew (16), Caleb (12), and Victoria (6). In addition, to supporting Stephen in the work of Thirst No More, Stephen and the boys love to hunt, fish and camp while Vicki enjoys finally having a shopping partner in the family.

Dr. C.A. and Sarah Damron come to TNM from a varied and extensive background, which has spanned some 34 years.  Most recently, Alan served as Executive Director of a weekly, worldwide television broadcast. 

In joining the TNM team, Alan will assume the role of Vice President and will be responsible for (1) International Partnerships, (2) Communications, and (3) Disaster Relief in North America.  Sarah will assume the position of Financial Administrator for all of TNM.

Alan and Sarah have been married since 1973 and have two daughters—Alana Denise and Alisha Danae.  Alana will finish her Masters Degree in critical film studies from Regent University in December 2007.  Alisha is attending Duke Divinity School and scheduled to complete her Master of Divinity degree in 2009.

B.K. and Jackaline Carroll are the field coordinators in Iquitos, Peru.  Brandon leads local teams across the Amazon region to drill fresh water wells.  Additionally, the both oversee a program that engages business leaders of Iquitos with the poor children in the city.  This program seeks to offer life skills to children that will lead them out of poverty and into a productive life in the community.

Alana Denise Damron has been volunteering her time and talents to TNM, as a part-time Media Assistant, since the fall of 2006. In 2004, she graduated from Carson-Newman College in East Tennessee, as an English major and Photography minor. Presently, she lives in Fayetteville Arkansas, where she works as a Young Adult assistant, while finishing a Masters degree in Communication through Regent University. Her greatest passion is singing and songwriting.

Bradley Grizzle joined Thirst No More in 1999. Since then, Brad has served in nearly 20 nations around the world. His efforts have brought relief to thousands of people. Brad now serves as our Asian Relief Coordinator. In 2005, Brad spent 9 months in Southeast Asia leading TNM tsunami relief efforts.  Brad has returned a number of times since then to lead teams and follow up on the work there. He now lives in Thailand permanently where he continues to lead development projects and raise up local leaders.

Judy Kirtley joined the Thirst No More team during our Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita relief efforts. She now serves as the Executive Director, coordinating the office and overseeing volunteer services.  Judy has more than twenty years of experience in the medical field as an RN, Nurse Manager, and Legal Nurse Consultant. She is also CPM certified, a Diplomate, American Board of Forensic Nursing, and a member of the American Board of Forensic Medicine. All of these past experiences have served as preparation for Judy's role in helping people in need, all around the world, through Thirst No More.

   
Mark&Sarah

Mark and Sarah Hickox were married in January of 2008 and are preparing to move to Darfur, Sudan. Mark with over 10 years experience in professional drilling and a master driller with extensive experience in water exploration in the deserts of Arizona, will oversee drilling operations. His duties will not only include operating TNM's rig but also training Sudanese nationals in pump rehabilitation and the operation of the drilling rig. Sarah will be assisting with the Sudan team's bookkeeping and administrative duties.

Andrew Oldham joined Thirst No More in March 2008. In 2005, he received a bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in risk management from Baylor University. Andrew will be serving in the role of Assistant to the President with an emphasis on finance and administration. In addition to working in the TNM headquarters, Andrew will also travel to assist in various TNM field projects.

Michael and Whitney Shafer were married in 2002. Since then, they have added a family member: their daughter, Regin (now 2 years old). Both Michael and Whitney have earned bachelor degrees; additionally, Michael has an MA degree in Bioethics from Trinity International University. The Shafers now live in Durham, England, where Michael is working toward a PhD in Ethics.

Charlie and Jennifer Michalik are the field coordinators in Darfur, Sudan. Charlie will be leading a team comprised of Americans and Sudanese who will rehabilitate broken water pumps and drill new bore holes to establish greater water supply in the Darfur region. Jennifer will serve as office administrator for the project. Charlie has an extensive background in water exploration and development, making him the perfect fit for our Darfur field coordinator.
